I am excited to take students on the Drew University ShortTREC short-term study abroad program to South Africa. The title of this four-credit course is “Health Care and Human Development in South Africa” (Public Health 299). The three-week program allows students to obtain a perspective on South African medicine by visiting public hospitals, private hospitals, NGOs, research labs, rural clinics, and traditional healing centers. This program has been on hold during the COVID-19 pandemic, but we hope to offer it again in Summer 2023!
